additiv, a leading SaaS and embedded finance wealthtech provider, has overcome other key wealth management technology providers to win WealthBriefing Asia’s coveted ‘Innovator of the Year’ at The WealthTech Asia Awards 2021.
In a highly engaging submission, the award judges’ selected additiv as it clearly demonstrated its credentials as a wealthtech innovator. In April 2021 the winner launched its Embedded Finance and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) models for wealth management services. These connect the brands wishing to embed financial services into their offering with regulated financial institutions, allowing firms to grow their addressable market. A very worthy winner in this category.
Commenting on additiv’s win within the region, Kevin Hardy, General Manager Asia at additiv said:
“This win serves to recognize the significance of embedded finance and BaaS models within the wealth management industry. Consumers expect to access the services they want through the distribution channel that makes most sense; typically, the channel that is most convenient or has the highest level of engagement. This includes wealth management services, and we are already seeing the strategies of firms with the ability to distribute wealth management respond to this need.”
Pieter Zylstra, Head of Strategic Sales at additiv said:
“We are delighted that additiv’s wealth platform and deployment models have been recognized within the region. However, innovation in wealthtech must be continuous and collaborative; supported by both our extensive range of partners and customers across the region. And we see this as just the beginning of our journey to democratize wealth management through innovation. Recent research suggests that the embedded wealth opportunity is worth US$100 bn per annum in revenues globally in the long run, with Asia Pacific representing almost a third of this total.”
ClearView Financial Media’s CEO, and Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, was first to extend his congratulations to all the winners. He said:
“The organizations and individuals who triumphed in these awards are all worthy winners, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to the winners and to those who have put so much work into each winning submission.
These awards were independently and expertly judged solely on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which were answered by focusing on the client experience rather than purely quantitative performance metrics. That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature. These awards recognize the very best operators in Asia wealth management, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process – such that the awards truly reflect excellence in Asia wealth management.”
